Great start to the Canterbury Give It A Try Girls only introduction to rugby held in the club tonight, with over 30 girls in attendance, many of who have never played rugby before.

There were a lot of nervous faces to be seen as they walked on to the pitch, unsure of what lay ahead, but these soon turned to smiles as our coaches put them through their paces and they settled into the session.

They enjoyed various fun games during the session, aimed at developing their skills needed during their rugby journey and they finished off the evening with a game of tag rugby where the girls competitive streak really showed.

Thanks to all who were able to attend tonight with a special thanks to Willie Schubert of Munster rugby.

We will go again next Thursday night from 7-8pm. Looking forward to seeing everyone again.
