Agus anois an Nuacht

11 March, 2010

The cup competitions for the youth section get under way this week end, with the Under 17 team entertaining Cobh. This team had a great run in the league, but the wheels came off the wagon somewhat in the semi final. It seems it was a little like Munster's last game, too much talk and not enough action. I'm sure however, things will be better on Sat morning as they face a tough task against the Pirates.
Go néirí an t-ath libh lads.

Off course the biggest game of the week end, sees our J1 team trying to reach the quarter final of the Munster Junior Cup when they travel to Crosshaven. The seasiders have had a torrid time in Div 1 of the MJ league, but the cup is the cup.

Former under age stars with Old Christians, Rory Burke and Charlie Slowey starred for the Christian's College team that overcame a gallant Ard Scoil Rís in the semi Final of the School's Munster Junior Cup, and NO RORY WAS NOT SINBINNED THIS TIME.

Rory on the left as you look at the pic and Charlie on the right.

The have Crescent in the final - in Musgrave Park - 24th March (to be confirmed).

"Fear an hata is" organising a bus to Clanwillian on Sunday week for the final Munster Junior league game. A win or a draw would give us the silverware. The cost of the bus is set at 10 euro and if we win the bus will be returning on Tue..........or Wed........ or Thurs.
Anyone interested can give Sean Ware a shout.

Sin deireadh na Nuachta go foill, go dté sibh slán.
