Old Christians 15 Mallow 14Fitness was the main differance in this match according to the "Special One", as we came back for the winning score with just a couple of minutes on the clock.
We had a dream start, when the evergreen Dave Donnelly danced over for a try after five mins. Colin O Halloran added a penalty but the visitors had two first half tries to lead 10-8 at the break.
Just before the end Scott Vickory had the winning try with O'Hallorin adding the points.
With the Cup next week, the form of the pack was encouraging, with the Twohig twins, Stephan and Peter, again outstanding. The game also saw the welcome return of Cormac Gaffy and Rob Mackessy.
