About Mini Rugby
Mini and Leprechaun Rugby is for under 7's to under 12's, (boys and girls). “Growing from 6 to 6 Nations”
The ethos of mini rugby is to foster and develop young players (boys & girls) of all ability in the game of rugby in a safe, non competitive, enjoyable environment through activities which ensure progressive skill development for all participants in line with the IRFU Long Term Player Development (LTPD) pathway, Child Welfare Policy and Traditions of Rugby Union.
Minis train/have matches every Saturday morning from 10.00am to 11.30am.
* non-competition meaning no Leagues/Cups and Blitzes and/or events resulting in play-off matches or finals. It's amazing how many game end in draws.
Blitz/club days ensuring inclusion and participation are encouraged rather than the running of competitions, resulting in over competitiveness and/ or behaviour problems on and off the field.
