Kinsale 24 Old Christians 7
I suppose it’s fair to say that this competition was not too high on our list of priorities, but all the same it was a wake up call for next Sunday’s home clash with Kanturk.
We started without 4/5 regulars and by the end of the game, we had lost another four to injury.
We never got into the game in the first half and although our defence was proving strong, but in repelling one
Kinsale drive, we lost both Pump and Dara.
On twenty five minutes, the home side were 7 points up and a second unconverted try, meant we turned around behind by
12 points to nil.
The game was over early in the second half as the Seasiders had another converted try and then we began to play a bit.
Laz did get over for a converted try on twenty five minutes, but with a re-jigged team, we were never going to get back into the game.
The home side finished off the scoring in injury time with another try to leave the final score at 24 points to 7.
Hard to take much out of this game, but Ado, (who finished up hooking), and Cian never gave up and hopefully it will be a good wake- up call for next Sunday.
Some match pictures from a very cold Kinsale.

John winds up to pass.
